French for Beginners

It’s another opportunity to speak french like a native.

French has a handful of prepositions just like English .One of them is “DE” which mean – For, From, Of. At same time, it can be used as form of préposition.

Sure you are wondering now😳🤦 calmez-vous 😚 I’ve got you👍 In English we use (‘s) as a form of possession or ownership.

For example: It is my friend’s clothes. The apostrophe (s) makes us to know that the clothes belongs to “friend”.

In the case of French, “de” is used. par exemple : C’est le tableau du professeur. meaning – it’s the teacher’s board. The object comes before the subject while the “de” stays in between.

N.B – “De” was changed to “Du” that’s simply contractions taken place between preposition “de” and ” definite article”
